Securing California’s Energy and Economic Future
The Santa Ynez Unit and the Santa Ynez Pipeline System are bringing critical energy and economic opportunity to California – replacing over 1 million barrels of imported oil a month, reducing carbon intensity per barrel by 4x and creating hundreds of jobs in Santa Barbara County.
A Domestic Energy Solution
The Santa Ynez Unit is a key piece of California’s existing energy infrastructure, comprising three offshore platforms — Hondo, Harmony, and Heritage — located off the coast of Santa Barbara County. The Santa Ynez Pipeline System transports resources produced from the Santa Ynez Unit onshore through Las Flores Canyon to Pentland. Flowing oil through this system will help stabilize the supply of crude oil in California, ultimately providing 10-20% of in-state production.
